Bloomberg has reported that French miner Eramet SA is actively seeking to acquire additional nickel mining permits in Indonesia, as confirmed by a senior company official to the Jakarta Post. Bruno Faour, Director of Eramet Indonesia, affirmed the company's commitment to investing further in Indonesia and exploring potential partnerships to produce battery-grade nickel.

Eramet's plans are aligned with the country's push for resource extraction and processing. Indonesia is the world's largest producer of nickel, a key component in electric vehicle batteries.
